Note:

In l954, Helen Pfeiffer, a cat lover, was to be married to a man who hated cats. Her parents, Dorothy and Gordon Pfeiffer (the painter), who were great friends of the Deichmanns, asked Kjeld to create a proud, defiant and beautiful cat for their daughter, to make up for all the cats that she would never own. This cat was presented as a gift at the time of the wedding
