Note:
Natalka Husar (b.1951, Newark, NJ, USA to Ukrainian Displaced Persons) earned her BFA from Rutgers University in 1973, whereupon she moved permanently to Toronto.
In her 43-year career, she has had over 35 solo exhibitions, notably seven catalogued nationally touring bodies of work. Her paintings are in many of Canada's foremost museums, including The WAG and The National Gallery. Recent group exhibitions include “Jeanne Randolph: My Claustrophobic Happiness” at the Mackenzie Art Gallery, “Living Building Thinking” at The VAG and “The 80’s Image” at the WAG.
Husar has traveled extensively and her work carries evidence of her broad-ranging exploration. Her exhibitions have been accompanied by remarkable publications which she had designed and guided through production.
She is represented by Angell Gallery in Toronto.
