Note:

A closely related example to the present work collected by M.G. Chandler is dated to 1794, and illustrated in Frank Goldsmith Speck's 1955 publication The Iroquois: a study in cultural evolution.

Speck notes that although collected in the "Iroquois area" pouches of this family have an affinity with those made by neighboring Algonquin groups, and are "of rare occurrence."
