Provenance:

Private Collection, Florida, U.S.A.

Note:

Sorel Etrog produced three studies of Rushman between 1972 to 1979. The scale, style, and patina of the work was refined through these studies to achieve Etrog’s final, 64 inch (162.5 cm), version.
Etrog divided works from this period into two categories: the Introverts and the Extroverts, "The Extroverts are concerned with open space and implied movement, and this was the first time I created walking figures [Rushman], employing hinges as an articulation device.”
